Nigel Andrews on Jaws

The peaceful community of Amity Island is shattered by a man-eating Great White shark. Town-officials do not want to risk losing business over the busy summer period--so they hush up the problem until another person is attacked. Chief of Police Martin Brody is called on to eliminate the shark. To assist him is Matt Hooper, a young marine biologist, and Quint, a drunken shark expert.
